SONIBLADE – Embeddable end-effector for ultrasonic cutting
We provide a full range of ultrasonic cutting and surfacing effectors that can be integrated on CNC machines, cutting tables and robot cells. They are designed to meet your machining and finishing needs for composite and honeycomb core cutting.
The cutting of composite materials using ultrasonic blades on our effectors results in precision and perfect cutting quality. The high frequency vibration of the sonotrode (blade) prevents sticking and reduces maintenance interventions required. It allows cauterisation thus avoiding delamination of the fibres.
Depending on the type and thickness of the composite material, we provide different lengths and types of blades for cutting up to 125mm in thickness.

The ultrasonic generator creates an ultrasound digital signal. The cutting or surfacing effector converts it into ultrasonic mechanical vibrations.
The effector is connected to the generator by an ultrasonic coaxial cable and the cutting tool is screwed onto its end.
Integration of the SONIBLADE L ultrasonic cutting effector on a CNC machine.
NOMEX honeycomb core cutting & machining – 70mm thickness.
Blade used: 125mm
Installation of the SONIBLADE M ultrasonic cutting effector on a 5-axis machine tool.
Cutting 4mm thick preformed carbon.
Installation of the SONIBLADE T ultrasonic cutting effector on an XY cutting table.
